Window Fabricator / Welder /Assembler
Salary: 7.83 Location: Tameside Hours: Full Time

Core Purpose:

To work in a very busy windows and doors frame manufacturer as a member of the Production Team Working within the Window and Door production assembly department. We manufacture, doors, bi-fold doors and commercial & specialist window systems.
The role will involve fabrication high end aluminium doors and windows. You will be involved in working from Cad engineering drawings, using hand tools, and predominantly working with aluminium.
Based within a factory in Tameside. Candidates must have some previous fabrication experience as outlined below:

Previous Experience of:
 Gearing Up
 Experience in fabrication, reading CAD drawings
 Previous experience in working with aluminium
 Experience in using had tools
 It is highly beneficial to have previous windows fabrication experience.
 Prepping
 Hanging

You will be working to targets within a busy production team hanging, beading, gasketing of the aluminium frames and ensuring the manufacturing schedule is achieved as quickly and efficiently as possible in order to meet targets and deadlines.
To ensure work is carried out in accordance with company standards at all times.
Keeping a clean and tidy work station/area.
Assist in all areas of the Production process and having a flexible approach to demands.
Use machinery in the production process in accordance with procedures and training and in a safe manner reporting any safety issues to your Team Leader.
There may be a requirement for operators to lift heavy components

Essentials Skills, Behavioural Competencies & Experience:


Experience advantageous in fabrication of UPVC / aluminium, cutting manual press brake operation, operate hand tools, use of measuring equipment and can read and interpret technical drawings.

A good standard of written and oral communication along with good secondary education is required.

Training will be provided for candidates with transferable skills interested in this role or to enhance skill set.

You must be flexible, able to work on your own initiative and also effectively as part as a team.

Experience in a UPVC background is advantageous but not essential.
