Mobile Service Engineer
Salary: Up to £35k DOE Location: East London Hours: Full Time

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mobile Service Engineer providing servicing and repairs in London and the Home Counties. Based in London E10, you will be repairing installed stationary piston and screw air compressors and knowledge of diesel driven generators would be an advantage. Servicing will be carried out at customer’s premises as well as in our Service Centre workshop. Proven electrical and mechanical fault diagnostic skills and a working knowledge of electrical control systems are essential.

Main Responsibilities and Tasks:

•To provide mobile repair and servicing at customer’s premises in London and the Home Counties, or further in exceptional cases. Products include mainly stationary piston and screw air compressors and installed diesel driver generators.

•Workshop based repair and servicing of our customer’s and other supplier products across the full product range.This includes a broad mixture of electrical and mechanical workshop equipment.

•Repair, refurbishment, grading and servicing of our’s and preferred supplier products from return stock at the NDC.

•To complete a service job sheet for each product worked on and maintain a daily timesheet record of work done and the time taken.

•Preparation and assembly of new, existing or sample products for evaluation and/or product manual completion.

•To repair and maintain company plant, tools and equipment as required.

•Any other reasonable duties as required by management.

Competencies / Attributes:

•A thorough understanding and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical power products and tools.

•Electrical and mechanical product fault diagnostic skills.

•A working knowledge of electrical control systems (ASD) and automatic mains failure (AMF).

•As this role is partly customer facing the candidate must have good communication skills and a helpful, friendly disposition.

•Basic computer and Microsoft Office software skills

•Excellent written and oral communication skills.

•Current UK valid driving licence essential.

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8am – 6pm, Friday: 8am – 5pm
